Enriching P-12 Education

Partnerships with P-12 education are one of the most important ways that Indiana University serves the state, and local schools are an important aspect of—and pathway into—IU's overall engagement with the communities and regions it serves.

The relationship between IU and the state's P-12 to career ecosystem is symbiotic and reciprocal. IU is committed to:

  • Adapting to and integrating with the P-12 to career factors that impact and shape our work and core mission; and
  • Ensuring that IU's actions and expertise reciprocally shape the P-Career policy and practice landscape.

To translate these commitments into actions, we have introduced five strategies to strengthen and extend our P-12 engagement. These strategies offer a framework for cultivating more intentional, reciprocal, and far-reaching partnerships that enhance learning experiences and uplift our students, schools, and communities.

Indiana University’s partnership with P-12 education is more than just a commitment; it’s a cornerstone of our strategic plan. By collaborating with educators and policymakers, we’re not only strengthening our state’s educational foundation but also fulfilling our role as a vital economic and cultural asset.
