IU Faculty & Staff

Let's change the P-12 landscape

From our schools of education that train future teachers, principals, and administrators, to our faculty who discover innovative pedagogical techniques, to our online high school that leads the way on student learning in the digital space, the Office of School Partnerships serves as a resource, a capacity builder, and thought-partner to connect talents, resources, and programs with the needs of our P-12 partners.

Connect with our Engagement Team to explore opportunities to build bridges across IU.

Equipping schools to handle pressing issues

We work directly with Hoosier educators to explore their greatest challenges and implement the latest innovations related to K-12 education.

Ways we can partner with you

Through initiatives like Charting the Future, we leverage data, policy research, and resource development. IU is deeply committed to racial justice and focuses on equity and inclusion in the P-12 ecosystem. Our work unites decision-makers, legislators, and policy-makers to support these efforts.

We meet students where they are and ensure they get the help they need. To reduce the costs of attending college, IU's Advanced College Project course are aligned with the Indiana College Core and free to students in the state of Indiana. We're proud to partner with organizations like the Center for Leadership Development and La Plaza

Student mentorship programs

There are many mutually beneficial mentorship programs for IU students to support Hoosier teachers and their students both inside and outside of the classroom space. Teachers can expand the capacity to educate their students, IU students receive an applied learning experience.

Establish connections, contacts, and projects

Each IU campus has a strategy for supporting relationships and engaging the community backed by research and best practices for local schools. This work is documented system-wide in Collaboratory, which allows us to adopt a strategic approach to new partnerships.

Summer programs and supplemental learning

There are many ways motivated students can explore their curiosities, like enrolling in programs like Girl STEM InstituteSummer Experience in Sustainability and the Environment by taking classes at an IU campus through programs like SPAN or College Now.
