IU is a trusted, innovative, and responsive partner to the Indiana Department of Education, Commission for Higher Education, State P-12 policy leaders, and P-12 educators who seek out and value our leadership, expertise, and contributions on key state-wide issues.
Indiana University swiftly aligned its literacy education programs with the state’s Science of Reading standards to equip future educators with the latest tools and knowledge to foster reading proficiency, aiming to achieve 95% proficiency by 2027.
This project transforms how P-12 educators teach environmental science and policy, helping overcome barriers like misinformation and lack of resources. Since its inception in 2017, the project has reached 570 teachers and, through them, over 47,000 students.
